Silicon carbide protection tubes have low lag time and long life. They are highly resistant to thermal shock, high conductivity, and impermeability, They are especially resistant to many corrosive atmospheres and are highly resistant to attack by molten aluminum and other non ferrous metals.
Most common application is to use with molten non ferrous metals, brick kilns, ceramic kilns, and where the thermocouples is exposed to wither flames or hot gases.
